I have been truly and deeply happy during the whole journey of my career.I am perfectly contented for just earning a monthly salary of 30,000 yuan for the rest of my life.Because the hospitals we work with are public hospitals, and the doctors we work with are wage earners.I believe more of our funds should be spent on the hospitals and the doctors.I don’t need to travel first class, and nor do I need Hermes handbags. These things are just distractions—nothing more than fleeting luxuries. What really matters is the value that Gloryren brings to global healthcare. When the big names publicly praised us during global live streams, it’s a genuine, heartfelt pride they take in our work.I often find myself thinking back to my childhood in a small town by the Wujiang River in Guizhou, where my father worked for Sino-hydro Engineering Bureau 8.Back then, China was quite underdeveloped. But my father’s work unit was one of those rare enterprises helping to build major national projects. I remember one day, my father told me that some residents living in the residence building of Sino-hydro Engineering Bureau 8 were selling home-made ice cream. So, in the afternoon, we went to buy some, waiting for over two hours.Sadly, their ice cream failed to be done, and the bowls they gave us were filled with nothing but milk. But my father still bought three bowls of it, and the three of my family happily enjoyed eating them.At that time, I didn’t even know what real ice cream tasted like. From a young age, I had been accustomed to watching my father live a difficult life, yet his inner world was rich and full.He traveled across much of China, and his life story was nothing short of legendary, full of ups and downs. He told me about the turbulent and challenging days of the Republic of China, and most importantly, he taught me two things: to read more and to be kind.If my father could endure a life of hardship in his youth, then surely, I too could live a life of hardship now.Looking back, I realize that from childhood until now, I have lived a very blessed life.It was because of my father’s unique experiences that I came to understand the true nature of money—it is a potential source of disaster. What truly matters is that I could grow up safe and sound, which is my greatest wish. With this hope, I could live a lucky life since my childhood - healthy in body, curious in soul, and kind at heart. We have work to do, people who love us, and hope for the future.I always tell my son: we must not be ordinary or shallow people. The essence of our work is to make doctors in our country better.Only when Chinese doctors become better can we build great hospitals. And only when Chinese doctors become better will doctors truly represent the conscience of a nation. The world still needs healthcare to safeguard the well-being of its people.Through acts of virtue, we can cultivate higher souls.
